Sometimes our lives, and our thoughts
can resemble a galaxy.

We can be so lost,
and get caught up in the plain empty black spaces.
Those spaces where we are just lost,
we feel helpless in life,
like we are just stranded in the empty blackness
that is our universe.

But, then we will come across something that captures us,
Captures us with their beauty and vastness.
So bright like the sun,
to when we look at it,
it distracts us from the darkness around us.

Then we have the complicated constellations,
resembling our tangled unsaid thoughts,
things we just keep in our heads to go left unsaid.
The constellations are so big and marvelous with,
so many meanings and theories put behind them.
Yet, to some they just look like pointless dots lined up in the sky.
But then every once in awhile,
you let someone see the full effect of them.
Soon they become they become fascinated with them,
and then it becomes all they ever want to see.

You also have the giant masses we call planets,
these resemble huge obstacles that we have to find some way to deal with.
Either we find some way to get around them,
or we can find a way to subside on them and let them take over us,
to where that becomes our universe.

An Asteroid belt,
with all of the little or huge pieces of rock flying all around us.
Some of the little pieces buzz by us,
without a second glance,
never thinking about us again,
never making a difference.
However sometimes we will have one,
it comes by and crashes into us,
temporarily crushing us.
But, once we come back from the whiplash of the subject,
we can be stronger and better,
and that one “asteroid” that we thought we would never recover from,
goes on just like the small ones never looking back.
