The beeping sound hurt my heart
But I knew the day had to start
It brought me to an unfortunate reality
I wanted to go back to my simple normality

The twenty third of August was the day,
The day that you moved away.
I refused to believe this was true.
Because cousin, I do love you.

It was time to get out of bed,
Face twelve girls that I had just met.
With water in my bright red eyes
There had to be some compromise

All I could think about was you
This is just something I wish you wouldn’t do.
Israel is just an email away. But,
Please, I beg you, do me a favor and stay.

The burning hot sun smiled down,
But I couldn’t help but frown.
Swimming in the pool was ought to be fun
Can this hell be undone?

I hope I get to see you soon
Even thought I have to wait till June.
All I will think about is you.
Stay safe little cuz, I love you.
