An open notebook

Made of words that make you look

Filled with ink

Stanzas with deeper meanings to make you think

A book of stories with cryptic meanings

Its DaVinci’s Code filled with feelings

To crack my code there’s no need for the NSA

Just grab a therapist and study my DNA

They say I have oppositional defiance disorder

But then again what teen likes to be given orders

My mind was almost spoiled

Mainstream media trying to make me loyal

But to open your eyes

You need not to cry about the lies

Now a question for you

If you were able to stop time what would you do?

Would you make it your time to shine?

Or will you do what your heart says is true

Would you make wrongs right even if your rights say it’s wrong?

Would you go against the flow even if society says you’re slow?

Would you question your reality even if it leads you to your own fatality?

It’s time we question society on why we can’t have good qualities

Maybe we can find what makes us lose our minds

Let’s understand how to make the world a brand new land

We can learn to prioritize the lives that make us feel like we just won a prize

We can find what makes us feel so high we can reach beyond the sky and kill all the lies

Let go of the hate that makes us innate to damage the ones we can’t manage to live without

It’s time we open our eyes

And release the pain

And allow the dopamine in our
brains to have an attempt to tame our feelings of shame

Now I realize my minds a mess

An issue I need to address

I need to express the intellectual pain

They say no pain no gain

But what happens when I have all the pain

And still don’t gain

It pains me to say the most I can ever gain will never amount to your standards of pain
