Apple buds and Macintoshes
Hang on my grandmother's tree

The rain has ended; the eastern
breeze sweep
across the tall grass at the field's edge

In the distance the clouds retreat
and I kick off my shoes

The cat rubs against my ankle and I smile
All is well: spring has come.
