Facetious Unreality
Far out in the depths of the verdant wood
Frozen by the ambience, there I stood
A surreptitious breeze quells my fears
Another silent night, so it appears
However, there’s an unheard cacophony all around
A perfect concerto of a lack of sound
A burning contemplation rages within
An enormous convolution about this soundless din
What can I say? What can I do?
Can anyone else hear this bitter noise too?
I pace the wood with a fervent stride
To find this noise, I tried and tried
Fears now un-quelled and stomach turning sick
I wait a minute… It starts to click.
The noise is me!
A tiny voice telling of what I can be!
The voice is quiet; Quieter and quieter still
I have an untapped potential; A story to fulfill
But why is the voice so quiet?
Why isn’t so loud and flagrant like a riot?
The voice stopped. The sound had gone.
“Wake up,” Said Mom.
“You were just having another silly dream again.”
