The 11th commandment
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thyself
Don’t fabricate those three little words out of fear that they may never be truly written on your heart
Your stomach deserves to dip as his hand grazes your knee
Love is spiritual and physical
Does he satisfy both? Does he satisfy either?
You deserve a phone log full of giggles that make you smile
His smell on your pillow should be euphoric
The human who makes your soul twist in glee exists
And by remaining shackled with the key in reach
You are ensuring that you will never have him
Awkwardly taking off his sweatshirt is less effort
Than wearing it forever
