Dear Mommy
Dear Mommy, I hate you
 for making me hate myself.
For all the "I love you"s
 you forced me to say
 Those weren't my words.

 Dear Mommy, I loathe you
 for all the spiteful words
 you throw my way.
 For every "b****", "s***"
and "w++++" you've labeled me as.

 Dear Mommy, I resent you
 for making all my decisions
 though I'm more than capable.
My right to drive, my choice
 in college and majors. Everything.

 Dear Mommy. I despise you
for all the nasty things you said.
For planting seeds in my brain
 that spiraled into depression.
"Don't get blood on my carpet!"

 Dear Mommy, I love you
 for being bitter, controlling,
everything I've grown up to know.
 Foe showing me exactly
who I don't want to be.
