Washed Away
Her green eyes, freckled face
shone brightly in the summer sun,
her lips chapped from the
high winds that nature blessed us with today.
she stretches out underneath
the sky, finding shapes
in the fluffy, white clouds.
He walks along the beach,
barefoot, lonely.
tall, strong, desirable,
leaving footprints behind.
Never did they know
it would be their last
day. The day the waves
turned into a terrible storm,
Tragic.
you no longer see her freckled face
or chapped lips.
you no longer see his strong,
built arms.
you no longer see any footprints.
Nature washed it all away.
