Favorite Quote:
Don't tell me to reach for the sky when a man has landed on the moon.

Choking on smothering self expectations
Fighting back the urge to collapse
Poison fills your mouth in the form of words
A dark black sludge spills out

A judgmental hand
Suffocates all hope
Of a promising future
The artist destroying it's own masterpiece

Why if we draw our path
Shape the clay of life
Does our art close in
Cutting off the will to prosper

Then hope becomes a four letter word
Our last spark is extinguished
Broken and bruised
We retreat into murky blackness

I was inspired by the concept of not being able to live up to your self expectations. Of the theory that we, in part, destroy our will to go on by setting unrealistic goals.
