I'm Sorry
I look down at my thighs, whispering "I'm sorry."
I then look at my wrists, once again whispering "I'm sorry."
You shake your head turning away. "I can't love you anymore." You yell tears in your eyes.
I start to shake watching you walk away.
Turning around I make my way into the apartment building running to the top.
Each step causing me to shake more.
Reaching the top I take a step up onto the ledge.
"One deep breath, two." A sigh escapes my chest.
Looking down I feel sick, the thought of flying worried me.
With a sudden frown I whisper to myself. "I'm sorry, I am so, so sorry, but if I stay here any longer I think I might just go insane" As I spread my wings taking a quick and daring leap of faith.
