Competition

April 1, 2014

People these days have so much pressure
to do the right thing and to the right measure.
Be it school, sports, or one’s descendants,
they are always so focused to be the transcendence.
They push and push to always be first,
and never let go of that competitive thirst.
All we can do is play their little game,
but never ever let our heads out of the game.
There is only one word to describe our great mission,
and this single word is called competition.

This poem is about how much people obssess over competition and never allow themselves to lose. Its overall message is that no matter one's distaste for competition, they will always be apart of it.
