My Sleeping Hope
When it's dark and unclear I think of you.

Just a thought can brighten reality.

Even though you sleep like death, you help through

 The stabbing truth of practicality.

You are a dove, sending me drops of hope

To forbid the abusive days of cries.

I feel your presence, as I hardly cope,

Longing to soon look into your brown eyes.

It is cruel to believe you may come back,

When greater opinions said without sound.

You are light that murders the unknown black,

Causing the gushing drops to hit the ground.
