There are People Just the Same
How do you feel when they push all of your buttons
When they call you bad names, make you feel unloved, forgotten
Tell you mean things to make them feel better
Put a note in you locker, a mean spiteful letter
You try to push it aside, but to no avail
You try to make them all stop, you try but you fail
You feel all of this hurt, this sadness, this grief
You feel all this pain and think that you should just leave
You should leave this school, this district, this state
You should leave them behind, leave the hurt, change your fate
But, if you run, what will that do?
They will find new ways to torment you
Via twitter or face book, via email or snaps
Via instagram, you tube, or even some chats
So, you’ll try to run, try to hide from their meanness
You’ll take a shower, try to feel some sort of cleanness
The cleanness that you pushed away cause of them
They made you feel dirty, forgotten, but then
As you clean yourself of that pain
You see that there are some people like you, just the same
So, you put on your clothes, the new bright ones too
You put on your new, shiny pink shoes
You then walk out the door, into the open sky
You feel like your ready to take off, to fly
You get to school to find the loners like you
The losers, the bullied, people you got used too
You then take their hands, the big and the small
Then stand up to your bullies, who aren’t prepared at all
After you stop taking the punches they threw
They find that there are things better to do
So they go play their sports, or their video games
But you stand here, a hero, to all those who were the same
