The Star Not Yet Ready to Leave
A star is dying
She is going in and out
Not sure when to completely go
Her mind is racing
Still wanting to gleam
Every night wanting to keep on going
The star doesn’t want to leave
She has too much to live for
As the night goes on
She cannot hold on much longer
The star finally begins to feel free
And she lets her light go out
The star still knows she is loved
And is now in a better place
She is loved still on earth
And known for her beauty
In the heart and soul
And yet the dim light she brought
Is still reminiscent in a distant memory
She is the star not yet ready to leave
