Listen
Listen
Just listen
I promise you
You will hear
The silent invisible
Tears of all
Girls
Who just weren't
good enough
If you open your ears
To the silence
You will be able to
Hear the camera
Click from the paparazzi
And this world celebrity
Means sniffing a Paris Hilton perfume
And choking on it after
When you finally
Close your eyes and mouths
And listen
You can see the world
For what it is
And probably can see
This isn't the world
We want it to be
Because
Our emotions are
Slowly dying
Somewhere between
Text messages &
Phone conversations
Or the lies that
have been spoon fed to us
Let's face it
We all can't be
A size 6
But that size it self
Is what they call perfection
In this world
That you might
call home
But I feel like
I'm trapped in
A super dome
With millions of
Screaming voices
Worrying about them selves
Instead of seeing
We are living in a
Dying country
A dying world
We are like a popcorn popper
On a burnt stove
I am waiting
for everyone to
break free
and realize
we are all slaves
to technology
That humanity
Has given us
We lock ourselves
In our own private
Closets with our
Computers androids
And iPhones
Calling this life
While texting people
Next door to us
Watching the world
Die and not even
knowing we are
The murderers
Society has broken us
By telling
us that
Our own personal beauty
Is not beauty at all
But see it's different
With me
I might be 1 person
But I know
there is beauty
in what's left
of this torn world
I think if
We look in the
cracks of our lives
You see
That society
Doesn't describe you
It doesn't decide
Your future
if we Just shut down
Our TVs and our phones
And finally
just Listen
to the silence
And look
between the lines
We will find
That there is no such Thing
As perfection
That our imperfection is the most beautiful thing
We can receive in our world
