Let’s stop and take a look at time
Back when the blues was new,
Riots were happenin’,
And full house was in creation.
Back to when Eminem wasn’t crazy
The Middle East wasn’t blazin’,
Or when people could safely walk home on Main Street.
Back when money wasn’t an idol
Who could make or break you, sell
You or even rape you.
Now tell me who said chivalry was dead.
If you ask me it’s been pushed
To the side
Hidden under a rock.
But let’s go back to the days when
Men were gentle men
Women were high class
And children were the future.
