Children are so full of hope
Their futures unwritten
Their dreams just beginning
Curiosity at it's peak
Children so full of happiness
The smallest things in life give joy
Eating dessert before dinner is their biggest crime
Mom and dad are their best friends
The hope remains
Until Santa is ruined for them
Their futures will be set in stone
Their dreams will crushed
Happiness will fade
Once death is realized
The simplest things are no longer pleasing
Life is no longer enjoyable
