The Flight and Fall

I was flying
Soaring higher than a bird, saying words that kill and not even having to take a pill
I got closer to the ground
My head started to pound and I tried to maneuver my way back higher to the normal cruising altitude
Then I fell
I tried to leap back into the sky. Efforts futile because I was stuck
like a brick in cement
Going nowhere
Because I fell.
