A thousand compliments I heard-

Were nothing compared to your insults

Why couldn’t I see the beauty in me?

You Words blinded- tied me down

Your hurtful insults scarred my heart

Engraved unwanted thoughts into my head

Now covering my ears from your words-

I can forget about my flaws

Your words mean nothing to me now

I can see the beauty in me

All I had to do was accept myself
