Like a ballerina
The way she walked was as if she was a ballerina; light on her toes, twirling gracefully in the air. The way she laughed was as if she was a piece of candy; sweet and fruity. The way she smiled was as if she had just received a newborn kitten for her birthday; sweet and subtle without showing any teeth. The way she looked at him was as if they were the last two people on this earth and she had no idea what to say or what to do. Speechless. Breathless. Hopeless. Until he walked over to her and kissed her gently on her lips, she really was breathless then. In her mind, it felt like the fourth of July; fireworks lighting a beautiful display of hearts and flowers into the nighttime sky. As she mouthed the words “I love you”, he was gone like nothing had even happened.
