A Soldier

I am not done
There is still a breath in my body
Therefore,
I am still alive
Devil,
My soul is safe
I belong to God
Knock me down
Drag me around
But I will stand up
And keep walking with faith
I am a child of God
Giving up is no option
As long as I am here
On this earth
You will try to put me down
But I am a soldier
In God’s army
And I am standing my ground
This is my hill
And you will never
Keep me down
A soldier of God can withstand anything
As long as they have faith, hope, and love
I am a soldier
