Do You Not Realize?

Shy sleepy Samantha.
That's what they all call her,
as she mopes through the halls
and
slumps in her seat.
But no one knows about the
dark, twisted
reality she lives in.
The flames inside her grow
bigger and taller,
little do you know, you all feed the fire.
do you not realize her
swollen eyes,
or the bruises on her arms?
Nobody minds and certainly nobody cares.
The vast amount of signs are ignored,
and she's left in the dust to fight this war on her own.
all because she's stuck in a house she can't call home.
