The Unwelcomed
There is something very unnatural occurring deep within my skin.
An unwelcome visitor.
It makes me cry.
It makes me feel as if a sharp blade is pushing into my stomach,
and gives hateful remarks with every twist.
"You’re too much to deal with." Twist.
"You’re so f***ed up in the head." Twist; to the left this time.
"Why would anyone ever want you here?" Plunging into the tissue of my vital organs.
Then the venom snakes its way up my bones.
Using my ribcage as a ladder.
Its minions halt at my heart.
They tear it to shreds.
The venom forms into hands full of hate, as they take their place on my neck.
"You’re fat." Squeeze.
"You’re ugly." Tighter now.
"You’re a disgusting pig, not worthy of the title: human being." It crushes my windpipe.
The hands drop me to the ground.
A sick, satisfied smile creeps upon its face.
"My work here is done."
Off it goes,
slinking into the shadows of hell where it first emerged.
Leaving my body empty,
and unholy.
