Why
Why do people complain about the things I want?
It seems like everybody else gets a shot.
They get to reach for the stars.
While I get to sit at a chair and stare at the wall.
Cleaning up, fetching things and even when I’m not there I’m getting blamed.
They get to make money and go out with friends.
I get to wash dishes and if I get a job, pay the water bill.
I apply here, I apply there nothing ever changes.
Yet, they come to me and complain.
It’s like Cinderella but with a twist
Happily ever after doesn’t exist.
