When day burns into night,
the tones of Twilight stain the world.
The painted horizon with colors
of lovely yellows, comforting oranges and burning reds
smear with the remains of the calm blue sky.
Creating a new masterpiece saturated with deep purples and darkening blues.
The partial darkness of dusk begins to bleed out around the clouds,
suffocating the sun, casting shadows on the earth.
Night fall cascades over the skyline.
The hues blend together unifying in the expanding black.
The moon rises above, outshining the brightest star.
Diamonds of the atmosphere return from the faded,
burrowing the last traces of sunlight beneath the layers.
