The fact you can do this to me is
surprising.
A knife in the spine is permanent
Leaving me with chills that shiver;
Does anyone stay true?
Once a friend and now a foe.
Leaving your “best friend” for the enemy
The one who caused all of our sadness.
You were here for me,
Where are you now?
All the restless nights we spent
Thrown away
For someone who should mean nothing.
Things can happen at the drop of a dime
Now you’re nothing in the rear view.
