A nice christmas present

It was very cold outside and it was snowing. I looked out of the window and saw the little, soft white pieces that fall from the dark sky. I put on my new bobble hat, grasped my rucksack and got out of the house. A tiny flake of snow dropped on my nose, as I took a look at the sky.
I just wanted to walk into the town as my little sister came out of the ranch house and cried my name:
“Lily! Where do you go?”
She wanted to know.
“I’m going to Zack. Honey, go back inside, please. It’s cold.”
I said and wanted to push her back into the warm house.
“Bye. Love you!”
The little four-year-old girl answered and waved me goodbye. She sucked at a strand of her long blond hair and waved her little hand. I grinned and left our plot of land. I shivered and pulled my hat deeper into my face. I went through the streets. There were a lot of cars on the road. I walked through the alleys, lost in thoughts.
Suddenly, I stood in front of Zack’s house. I knew the route by heart since I was 5 years old. I rang the doorbell and Zack opened the door a few seconds later. He smiled and let me in.
“Hi, come in.”
Zack was much taller than me. He wore a black sweater with a slogan on it. “Linkin Park”, his favorite band. Zack was my best friend.
We walked upstairs through the stairs to his room. It was a nice and little room and it was warm. I took off my bobble hat and sat down on a dark blue couch.
“So, what’s up?”
I asked him while he was searching his anorak and pocketbook in his stuffed wardrobe.
“My brother and I have trouble with my dad. That sucks. This stupid idiot sucks.”
Zack said to his wardrobe. Then, he turned toward me. I didn’t say anything.
“Anyway, I’m fine. So, let’s go!”
He sighed and I stood up, took his hand and looked into his blue eyes. Anytime, I had trouble with my family, he was there for me and I had to help him now. My eyes said that I was so sorry.
Zack tried to smile, but he made a grimace.
“Come on.”
I grinned. As I turned myself around, he took my hand again and we got outside. We went to the next bus stop and took the crowded bus to the town. Characteristically of the Christmas holidays.

“What do you think about this sweet boy there?”
Zack held up a little teddy.
“Nice.”
I looked up to the little brown bear with a red-white striped scarf around his neck. We were in the shopping street in a little shop with lots of things for kids. I searched a present for my sister for Christmas. We went out of the shop and continued our window shopping. It was getting dark and the snow was falling again. Zack and I walked through the decorated alleys.
Then, we came to a Christmas market with a big Christmas tree – which was covered with lots of garlands and fairy lights – and some stalls.
“I’ve got a better present for Lea.”
Zack grinned and raced his arm to a box which was standing in front of a little stall with an old man in it. I took a look into the box with slogan “Adopt me!” on it. There were five cute puppies.
“Oh, my goodness. How cute they are!”
I cried and wanted to stroke one. A little dog looked up to me with his sweet dark eyes and barked. I lifted a very cute one out of the carton. The dog had golden yellow fur which was so soft. Suddenly, the sweet puppy licked my nose and I need to laugh.
In the end, I couldn’t resist the nice dog and I bought him.
“That’s the best present which you can ever get.”
Zack smiled.
“Lea will be very surprised!”
I admitted. Zack laughed and we walked through the streets with “Max”, the new dog who I held in my arms to keep him warm and save.
