Drifting away

The memories of you are what leave me restless at night. I could tell you left awhile ago when your emotions turned to emptiness and your appearance slowly withered away. Nothing could of saved you from the darkness you fell into. If I could go back in time, I would of never let you get that bad, but time is something you can't get back. Now all I have left of you are these thoughts running through my mind and an aching emptiness in my heart. I guess you never realize how important someone is to you, until one day you don't have them anymore.
