In the corner stands the awkward kid

who never changes out of his jeans

and it is his solitary mission to stay out of the way.


Lying down on the hardwood floor is the out of shape kid

acting like he is dying

after running for five seconds

and dripping in sweat.


Off to the side are the girls who think they are in a fashion show

with their hair down

and fully coordinated gym clothes.


In the middle of the gym are the over confident guys

who are always way too into the game

making it torture for everyone else.


Standing with the over confident guys are the girls

who pretend they know what they are doing

just to impress the boys.


And in charge of the class is the gym teacher,

tall,fit, and friendly,
trying his best to control the class.
