The walls are paper thin,
And the door is open.
Every day and every night,
I hear the words spoken.

How do I make them stop?
Same words replied and yelled.
I'm told to forget,
But I don't need to be compelled.

It's all in my head.
But the walls are caving in,
About to crash down.
Everything goes silent, and you can hear the drop of a pin.

As much as I try, as hard as I push,
I can't close the door.
It's locked in place,
The door won't move, not a centimeter more.

This piece is about struggling, struggling within yourself, but still having to deal with the world around.I chose the image because I interpret the flower as fragile and that's how this piece represents me.
