Miserable
Cold, dark, miserable. It sends shivers up your spine. You are suddenly being forced to awake from your slumber. You can't help but groan at the pain you are put through. Sitting for hours, lifeless, hopeless. Everyone around you is suffering.
You are forced to be here. You are all alone. You close your eyes and try to escape, but there is no hope. You are sent back to reality.
Mocking, laughing, judging. It is all around you. You wonder when you will be free from this prison. You cry out for help; but it isn't heard. You are ignored and pushed around.
Finally, you regain your balance; but you are sent back to work. Writing, listening, trying your hardest to pay attention. Assignments and projects are handed out. Stress sets in. Procrastination is a killer. You stop. You can't bear another minute in this wasteland. “I will never escape” “I can't escape” goes through your mind.
Suddenly, the heavens open and angels sing. The bell finally rings. You race to the door, tripping over every step. You make it outside. You have escaped. You have made it through the school day. Only 138 days to go. See you tomorrow.
