Fitting In
Hope is beautiful,
It's colourful,
Bright,
Free,
Hope, Hope is beautiful,
A beautiful lie,
Hope is abandoning,
Yet still thirst-crunching,
Hope is the friend that talks behind your back,
That trips you and laughs,
That lies to you,
But yet, it's your only friend,
Because you are that person,
Who sits in the back,
Who can't find find others,
Nobody even knows your name,
It's lost in the void of your other 'names',
"Go kill yourself, idiot," they say,
And yet i still look for my friend,
My lying, backstabbing, yet beautiful friend,
Hope,
I look for my one and only friend,
Hope.

For school, we have to write a free-verse poem. I (Of course) left mine 'til last minute. I need a base to write from, so i looked up "Free verse poems about self-esteem". (Just a topic that i liked). I found a poem (Not gonna name) and i based it off that. I feel like poetry is something i can start, as this is a start (That's why it sucks). Sooooo ;)
