The Same Garden
She laughs slightly louder, than
the girl to her side, thinking
she’s more recognizable. As
she stares at the beautiful red
rose through the clear glass of
the room, she blooms, paying
no attention to the white daisy
that blooms at the same rate.
She chats with her friends
without knowledge that
the daisy will be with her
cluster soon. She’s loved
just as much as the rose.
The daisy feels inferior to
the rose. She doesn’t realize
that they both bloom, from
the same sunlight,
the same soil and
the same water.
They come from the
same garden. Everyone
sees them, and some
fall
for
the daisy.
