I remember
I remember sprinting around the halls of the hotel
I remember the relaxing, vibrant pink and orange colors of the sunset to see after a day of excitement
I remember them being relaxing because of the pastel colors that made you feel tired
I remember wandering down the beach in the afternoons, neither worrying nor caring about anything
I remember afternoon swimming in the ocean
I remember palm trees swaying in the breeze
I remember the balcony overlooking the beach
I remember swimming in the pool at night when it wasn’t crowded
I remember mouthwatering, delicious food that made everyone fall in the first three bites
I remember parasailing over the ocean, seeing fish splash and jump through the water
I remember styling each other’s hair on the beach with my cousins
I remember doing flips into the pool on hot 95 degree days
I remember seeing peculiar crabs, tiny starfish, and trying desperately to find sea glass
I remember exploring the beach with my cousins and sister
I remember Marco Island, Florida
I Remember my Cat
I remember Molly’s long afternoon naps that lasted all day
I remember picking her out at the Humane Society
I remember dressing her up as a pumpkin for Halloween
I remember taking walks around the neighborhood
I remember watching crime shows on Netflix with her on rainy days
I remember teaching her tricks, like how to sit and shake
I remember giving baths
I remember her purring when she slept
I remember her fur that felt like a cloud
I remember her loving to tug and skip around with her rope and fish toy
I remember feeding her milk
I remember making her jolt around quickly following the laser pointer I would shine on the floor
I remember watching her clawing on the scratching post
I remember my cat, Molly
