Fate Can not be Changed
A tumor the size of a tennis ball, in the brain of a young girl
The doctors examine it multiple times
The family mourns over the answer they’ve gotten back each time
“Your daughter only has two months to live, I’m sorry”.
Salty tears stream down each of their faces
The fate this young girl has, is gut wrenching
They’ve tried over and over, time and time again
In surgery
Long hours spent trying to resolve this problem, looking for a solution, where there isn’t one
The procedures that have been taken one cannot even fathom
Death creeps up on the family, sooner than they had hoped
Soon she is gone
It was her fate all along
