Dangling at the end of a rope being held by him.
Sharing every secret;
Taking every risk,
together.
Letting him pick the poison I could possibly choke on.
Ensuring me he’ll go with his gut in every decision.
Telling me things others can’t;
Being able to be upset in each other’s presence.
Giving him a gun with a single bullet,
Begging him to hold it to my head,
With faith that he won’t shoot,
Even as I beg him to.
That is trust.
