A second goes by
You could’ve changed
A life
By simply saying,
“I love you”
There’s goes two
Or three
Now four
Enough for a hug
A kiss
Or even more
Five
Goes on six
Now seven
Don’t waste eight
Flash someone a smile
They won’t know
If it’s fake
But still
It could brighten a day
Love and love
Please never stop
Loving on someone
Anyone
I understand
That it may hurt
That’s only because
The feeling of love
Is worth
Your time
Nine
Now far more than ten
Think
No you don’t have time
Don’t even stop
To blink
You could be bettering
Someone’s life
But for whatever reason
It may be
You decide
To keep the words inside
Where they turn cold
And are worth nothing
Anymore
So please simply say
“I love you”
Before it’s too late
You don’t even have time
To take a break
And read a poem
