I miss my home in you
My hands reach out
But cannot give, and my fingers
Always seem to fall an inch too short.
These faint lines on my bare palm,
Trace so many of our fond memories, that
Even the scorching sun cannot peel out-
They are a tad too strong-
- But I
Am weak because I want
I want to touch you
Just one more time-
Even if
only to feel that little cottage
In the nook of your heart where
I once used to live.
