I'm so weird I'm normal
-Khalil, a friend

Standing alone,
yet not alone, counting the spaces of time.
Rather than wishing on shooting stars,
finding no sense with rhythm and rhyme.
If the thoughts are wrong,
then leave them be.
They're nothing to you,
as they're nothing to me.
The seasons change,
and passions go
The laughter comes,
the hurt tears flow.
And the silence is always the hardest to bear,
To pretend not to feel, to pretend not to care.
We tiptoe around each other,
in our separate worlds of grief.
A shock that overcomes us,
that we ourselves find hard to believe.
I dance with my shadow
in the loneliest of nights.
Trying to crawl back to the past, to try and fix what's right.
But time evades me,
memories escape me.
As I close my eyes hoping for release.
My mind whispers begs, and pleads.
Take me out of my misery
finally, finally set me free.

Life's not about how hard you can hit; it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done.

This poem is amazing when I read it I heard it as a song in my head. Keep up the Great work
