The sun is bearing down on me
With rays of fire deep within
It's brightness is beauty wrapped in sin
The sun is bearing down on me
It glides through the sky in effortless grace
Shining relentlessly on my neck, shoulders, arms, and face
The sun is bearing down on me
It's warmth is a priceless gift
Especially when the day starts to shift
The sun is bearing down on me
I carry it's weight with my head held high
Until it's journey ends, and I kiss it goodbye
