A Writer In Love
They
Are just jealous little people
With green hearts of envy and their
Narrow-minded judging stares
You
Are a paragon of perfection–
Magic in your eyes, your smiles,
Your laughter sweet, filling my heart
Nothing you say is ever wrong, and
You've got every reason to back up your stance.
We
Could be so much more than the couple they frown upon
A miracle in disguise–
You're smart, so why can't you see
What amazing things we could do, and be, together
And I
Am just a girl singing songs,
With her pillow full of dreams
And a heart filled with wishes–
Just a writer in love.
