Weeping Willow I tend to bring shade
Upon anyone who’s had a bad day.
My leaves get tangled and all messed up
When I’m stressed out and have had enough.
Weeping Willow I stand so tall
Maybe not in height, but in heart.
I let my branches be here to hold
Although they may droop when I am too cold.
Weeping Willow on a windy day
Things get messed up, but I’ll be okay.
My base is solid and strength is good
My family loves me more than they should.
Weeping Willow always in the way
I’ll never let the wind blow me away.
I reach up toward the sky
My faith helps me get by.
Weeping Willow stands out to some
They don’t know exactly where I’ve come from.
Some seem beauty, some see shame
But who are they to point blame?
Weeping Willow I’m just a tree
I live my life feeling so free.

In this poem I compared the beauty of self image to the beauty of nature.
