Perspectives
Perspectives
Here we are
The world in front of us
Seen through our own perspective
But how are we viewed?
You to me, and me to you?
Friends, Family, and Myself too.
FRIENDS
Gosh he is goofy
Always fixing to be the center of attention
Not sure whether he wants to be serious, or silly.
But he always has my back
I can trust him, and he’ll make sure I’m trying my hardest
Even though he can be pretty blunt, or blatant at times
I know his reasoning is fair, and his thoughts are pure
FAMILY
(Sigh) still no change
In a new school just worried about fame
There’s intelligence that needs to be applied
Before he has a life of bagging fries
I want a 4.0, I know he can manage
The expectations I have are not ones he can’t handle
I’m glad he embraces his giving heart
But he needs to grow, and becoming responsible is just the start
However he just wants to be mediocre
Tromping and stomping around, like an unintelligible ogre
MYSELF
I don’t know, I can be cool at times
Somewhat spontaneous
Fairly intelligent
But application is needed
From my family come warnings never heeded
And maybe being more responsible is a thought
Trying to be accepted by people who could not care less.
Not staying focused, causing my own stress
But still able to somehow ace that test.
The power within one’s self can be a major pest.
My love and compassion shields me like an armored crest.
