The Sea
The sea, the sea
She rolls and rolls and calls to me
An unpredictable body of infinite blueness
How serene and peaceful she can be
When She rolls and rolls and calls to me
She can be a mass of tumultuous rage and madness
A body of grayness and sadness
Oh, the sea, the sea
How She rolls and rolls and calls to me
Willing to rescue a lost traveler
To provide him with infinite light and land
Cruel enough to end his journey
To forever hide him from the warm and gentle sand
The sea, the sea
She rolls and rolls and calls to me
Crashing and Lashing
At her constant, soft brown companion
Soaring up, into the inconceivable heavens
Before unceremoniously landing,
Clashing and Splashing
On inevitable reality
Oh, the sea, the sea
How She rolls and rolls and calls to me
