Invisibility

Walking the halls,
A stranger,
Nobody special,
Just a breeze of air.

I always wonder,
What it would be like to be invisible,
It may be a superpower,
Or cruel and hurtful.

Stuck alone,
In a little bubble.
No one to touch you,
Only piercing eyes.

Given the cold shoulder,
Disregarded and miniscule.
No one understands,
Their sideways glances ridiculing.

Envying their lives,
Without emptiness,
Or drooping hearts,
They’re comprehended,

I think invisibility,
Would be cold,
Suffocating,
And full of rejection.
