On Life Support
My friends are like a medicine,
A daily dose needed,
Without them,
I would not be able to survive.
This life is hard as is,
With the help of friends,
It is actually bearable.
Judgment by peers,
Is the silent killer.
Help is needed,
Being judged every day,
Silently cutting you,
On the inside.
All you need is a friend.
Sitting there as if you are dead,
Looking aimlessly in the distance.
All that is needed is simply a friend.
Not any kind a friend,
One that is by your side,
Through the tough times,
Not only the fun times.
As the days go by,
You realize your so called “friends,”
Are vanishing.
Life is like a roller coaster,
With the ups and downs.
In the end you realize your “friends,”
Are there only for the ride.
