With fleeting lives and flowing time
Lifespans large to blinks of an eye
A thousand dollars to a dime
Are we so when we die?
Did we matter?
Were we such?
Were unheard chatter
We were never much
Raw emotions, taste and tears
Anger and joy
Fighting fears
Life is so
And life it was
But it will go
As it does
