They say we're made of numbers
and I guess you could say
 I am just
 206 bones
 with 65 percent oxygen
 and 60
 chemical elements

 but I am also
the books I stay up reading
 'til 3 a.m.
 with my eyelids drowning
 in wet eyes,
the freckles on the tip of my nose
 that shine
 under the summer sun,
the tears that find their way
 to my pillows
 at night.
 I am also
the quotes that say more about me
 than I ever could,
 the tea I sip
to escape the taste of my own life,
 and the beating
 in my chest
 that I gifted you
 for as long
 as our Earth
 still spins.

They say we're made of numbers
but I would still love you
 with 100 broken bones,
 40 percent oxygen,
 and 10 chemical elements.
 And if we die together,
 we can't be numbers
 at all
