Twenty years filled with vexing devotion

Her once beautiful face,

No longer alluring

Time worn memories never put behind

The sweltering summers in the back of that once was, red pick-up

Candle lit dinners at dawn

Gleaming trinket contributions

Looking into her eyes, who had all the answers at a time,

Turned enigmatic

Domination of thoughts not present

The sensation of being in-love teens, no

Together, but still very apart.

This poem was inspired by a Lana Del Ray song, hence forth the name.
