There is only two ways a man can lose. Quit or die. And im not giving up.

My grandfather was a craftsman.
Brick by brick upon brick
he layed them.

Always level, Always straight.

He took pride in his work
as he should.
His bricklaying portrayed the man.

Always level, Always straight.

He built his life on experiences.
He lived a proud life.

Always level, Always straight.

Maybe I can follow in his footsteps.
Maybe...

My grandfather was a bricklayer. He died about a month before my father's birthday. I wrote this to honor my grandfather and to give to my own father on his birthday as a way of rememberance. My father had tears streaming down his face. My father then gave me a hug and I knew it was a gift like no other.
